Yeah, who cares what the ‘international’ community thinks about us when yet another multi-national leaves our country? No sir (ma’am) it does not tarnish our ‘image’, moreover, why does it so bother you anyway? But, don’t you know how many jobs will be lost et al? It simply shows the Government is insensitive to the sufferings of her people. Hmmm, I sure have my reservations to your use of “…sufferings of her people.” but, that is not the issue for now. Let me ask you, which is of more importance to you, what ‘they’ (your ‘international’ community) thinks of you or what you know about yourself? Now listen, until you are comfortable with who you are, you will forever live your life to make them think well of you rather than revel in your own person and enjoy life.
The beautiful bride…. Wait oh, you just like switching topics at will, thot we were talking about Nigeria? Of course, and I did not switch any topic. So, who is the beautiful bride? Oh, now I understand you, you have be gone too long……Nigeria has now become the beautiful bride. The beautiful bride will encounter a lot of vicissitudes, ‘tis all towards grooming her for ‘you’. ‘tis not necessarily in the number of multi-national organizations (that come and or leave) that defines or enhances the beauty (& essence) of a nation and no, not solely the government either. So, what defines it? Good question, only YOU and i. In essence, whether they come or leave, whether the government chooses to do their part or not until WE are ready nothing can define us. For how long should WE put OUR destinies in ‘their hands? So, let US arise…..
….for whoelse will care but, US?
who cares?
the people who are losing thier jobs
wives who then dont have ‘budgets’ to feed the family
children who are then turned away from the school gates coz they havent paid fees
and finally those in the diaspora who have to contend with people’s mistrusting expressions when they find out you are nigerian,
other than those people
who cares?

too true
until we learn to love and accept ourselves growth is but a dream
their opinions of us can only magnify the beliefs we currently hold of our nation

shouldn’t we care about the causative factors belying such departure from our dear bride of a country?
yeah, love ourselves..true
but accept our selves the way we are? really? this is the best we can be..going 10 steps backward for every 1 step forward made?

Well spoken. In fact, I believe they are leaving for us to move in. As in they probably can’t move some of their machinery, their building, their tools. If we can acquire such and start our revolution, start taking care of us. I know some countries bought machinery, dismantled them and rebuilt them. And now they do their own original parts. Yes we can.

That rss feature on your blog here is magnificent, you should tell more folks about it in your upcoming post. I haven’t noted it for the first couple of times, now I’m using it each morning to check on any updates. I’m on a very slow dial-up link in Jakarta and it’s quite frustrating to sit there and wait for such a long time ’til the page loads… but hey, I just found your rss page and added it to the Google Reader and there you are… I’m always up-to-date! Well pal, keep up the good work and make that rss button a little bigger so that other people can enjoy that as well 😛
